Rock slide closes Highway 12 north of Lytton

LYTTON – There's no word on when Highway 12 between Hope and Lillooet will reopen following a rock slide.

Drive B.C. says Highway 12 is closed in both directions today, Feb. 20, about 14 kilometres north of Lytton.

VSA Highway Maintenance says they have crews on the scene. Rock scaling and blasting is underway because rock and debris is actively falling.

There’s no detour available and no estimated time of opening. Alternate routes include Highway 1 and Highway 99.

For the latest updates and highway conditions check out the Drive B.C. website.
