Stolen Oliver vehicle led to Kaleden police action
PENTICTON – A complaint about a possible stolen vehicle out of Oliver led to a police chase in Kaleden last week.
RCMP Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says the vehicle was followed but did not stop for police on Feb. 14.
The vehicle turned off Highway 97 into Kaleden. RCMP decided to give up the chase and instead blocked all four access routes out of the community.
With no way out the driver gave herself up. The next day officers were seen searching Pineview Drive for evidence.
Amanda Sach faces five charges, including two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a police officer, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm.
Her next court appearance is scheduled for Feb. 28.
