Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:BNK). Oil and gas. Up 62 cents, or 55.86 per cent, to $1.73 on 44.1 million shares. Bankers Petroleum Ltd. has received a friendly takeover offer that values the Calgary-based company at $575 million, excluding debt obligations. The buyers are Charter Power and a numbered Alberta company, both affiliates of China-based Geo-Jade Petroleum Corp.
Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up eight cents, or 6.20 per cent, to $1.37 on 14.4 million shares.
Potash Ridge Corp. (TSX:PRK). Miner. Up four cents, or 66.67 per cent, to 10 cents on 12.2 million shares.
Harte Gold Corp. (TSX:HRT). Miner. Down 3.5 cents, or 13.73 per cent, to 22 cents on 11.3 million shares.
Pengrowth Energy Corp. (TSX:PGF). Oil and gas. Down 13 cents, or 9.22 per cent, to $1.28 on 7.9 million shares.
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up one cent, or 0.12 per cent, to $8.40 on 6.5 million shares.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (TSX:VRX). Pharmaceutical. Up $2.97, or 8.50 per cent, to $37.90 on 2.2 million shares. The embattled drug and health-care products maker announced a management shakeup and blamed its former chief financial officer for misstated earnings, an allegation he rejects. Valeant says chief executive Michael Pearson is leaving the company after a succession of setbacks that have hammered its reputation and sapped its stock value. Meanwhile, activist investor Bill Ackman, head of Pershing Square Capital, a significant investor in the company, is joining its board.
