Premier Christy Clark to launch re-election bid with 30 minute TV address

VANCOUVER – B.C. Premier Christy Clark kicks off the Liberal re-election campaign next Sunday with a 30-minute televised address.

Billed as a “television special,” a release from the Liberal party says the program will include community leaders and “everyday British Columbians” sharing their hopes for the future.

Campaign director Mike McDonald says it will also include details of the Liberal party’s plans for the next four years.

He says the party looks forward to comparing its policies with those of the New Democratics.

The program, entitled “Strong Economy. Secure Tomorrow,” airs on Global Television at 7 p.m. on April 14.

B.C.’s next general election is set for May 14.
