Where ‘Batman v Superman’ opening ranks all-time

Six of the top 10 movie openings of all-time belong to superhero films following the estimated $170.1 million debut of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

When final figures are released Monday, the Warner Bros. release may drop a notch below “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.” But the huge opening is just the most recent movie to open with box-office far beyond the once hard-to-reach $100 million mark.
