Three youth arrested, one sent to hospital after BB gun incident near Kamloops middle school

KAMLOOPS – A Kamloops middle school was locked down today after police were called with reports of a weapons assault.

A youth was shot and injured with a BB gun near Brocklehurst Middle School today, March 2, causing the school to go into lock down. Police received a call about the weapons assault near the school, according to a police press release and were able to peacefully resolve the situation.

Three youth were arrested as a result of the incident. No students from the school were involved, according to the press release.

Police are still investigating the incident.
