KAMLOOPS – The search continues for an elderly man reported missing earlier this week.
Kamloops RCMP Const. Bernie Ward said search efforts continue.
"We're still ongoing in steps to try and locate him," Ward said. "Still hoping, still looking."
The 87-year-old Kamloops man, Alexander McIntosh, last spoke with family around 8 p.m. on Aug. 18. Investigators found his car in a parking lot west of Riverside Park late Monday morning. A search of the area by RCMP police dog services, helicopter, fire service water craft and RCMP were unsuccessful.
"Hope for the best, that's all we can do," Ward said.
Anyone with information regarding McIntosh's whereabouts is asked to contact the local detachment at 250-828-3000.
