Ontario MMA fighter Alexis Davis says she wouldn’t shy away from Fallon Fox

WINNIPEG – UFC Canada director Tom Wright says Winnipeg has a knowledgeable fight fan base and will be a great spot for a June 15 pay-per-view event.

It includes a bantamweight title defence by Renan Barao, who will face No. 4 contender Eddie Wineland.

It will also feature the first ever women’s bantamweight bout between Alexis Davis from Port Colborne, Ont., and Rosi Sexton from Manchester, England.

Barao, Wineland and Davis were in Winnipeg Wednesday to promote the event.

Davis was asked today about transgender female fighter Fallon Fox and says she doesn’t know much about biology but could see fighting her if their paths crossed.

The UFC suspended the contract of fighter Matt Mitrione this week for derogatory comments he made about Fox.
