Sandstorm Gold posts 4th-quarter loss of $25 million

VANCOUVER – VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (SAND) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $25 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 20 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 7 cents per share.

The provider of financing for gold mining companies posted revenue of $9.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $43.1 million, or 36 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $52.7 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, the company’s shares hit $3.27. A year ago, they were trading at $3.29.
