Revival of ‘Falsettos’ attracts some Broadway veterans

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Stephanie J. Block, Christian Borle and Andrew Rannells will lead the cast of Broadway’s revival of “Falsettos.”

Lincoln Center Theater and Jujamcyn Theaters said Thursday that the trio of Broadway veterans have joined the William Finn and James Lapine’s Tony-winning musical, which starts previews in September at the Walter Kerr Theatre.

The revival will have Lapine directing again, choreography by Spencer Liff and sets by David Rockwell.

Block’s Broadway credits include “The Mystery of Edwin Drood” and the 2011 revival of “Anything Goes.” Borle is a two-time Tony Award winner for “Something Rotten!” and “Peter and the Starcatcher.” And Rannells starred in “The Book of Mormon” and “Hedwig and the Angry Inch.”
