GeneNews Ltd. (TSX:GEN). Health-care. Up six cents, or 52.17 per cent, to 17.5 cents on 9.1 million shares.

Pacific Exploration & Production Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Up 17 cents, or 25.76 per cent, to 83 cents on 8.6 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down three cents, or 0.67 per cent, to $4.43 on 7.5 million shares.

Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (GTE). Oil and gas. Down 20 cents, or 5.81 per cent, to $3.24 on 7.2 million shares.

Pengrowth Energy Corp. (TSX:PGF). Oil and gas. Up 17 cents, or 11.11 per cent, to $1.70 on 5.9 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Up 25 cents, or 3.26 per cent, to $7.92 on 5.8 million shares.

Cara Operations Ltd. (TSX:CAO). Restaurants. Up $2.50, or 9.38 per cent, to $29.15 on 333,761 shares. The owner of Swiss Chalet and a number of other widely known restaurant brands is buying St-Hubert for $537 million, giving it a major presence in Quebec, including a chain of franchised restaurants, a food manufacturing and distribution business and about 10,000 employees.
