Toronto police arrested a male suspect on impaired driving and other charges after a frightening incident in the south end of the city Friday night.
They say a car collided with a number of parked vehicles and also hit some pedestrians before crashing into a bus shelter near Union Station around 9:30 p.m.
Police said as many as five people may have been injured in what a spokesman described as “a minor way.”
Investigators say the suspect vehicle was spotted driving the wrong way on a street just before it hit the other vehicles and people.
They say Transit police followed the suspect after he abandoned the car and held him until city police officers arrived on scene to make the arrest.(CP24/680 News)
