Underwear, court cases and a missing man
KAMLOOPS – This past week kicked off with a new festival for the North Shore and an underwear run to raise money for local charities but by mid-week disturbing evidence in a sexual assault case and a missing man dominated the news.
The largest tournament of the season, the 2013 B.C. Senior Games, also started this week. The games have brought more than 5,000 people together as athletes, volunteers and supporters together as the 3,700 athletes take part in two dozen different events across the city.
The week also saw the strength of community at a more local level, as an off-duty sheriff protected a man being assaulted while a young cashier stood up for an autistic customer.
