Rob Hellyer scores four as Rock beat Stealth for first road win of season

LANGLEY, B.C. – Rob Hellyer scored four times as the Toronto Rock won their first road game of the season by getting past the Vancouver Stealth 13-11 on Saturday night in National Lacrosse League play.

Stephan Leblanc and Kasey Beirnes had two goals apiece for Toronto (4-9), which also got goals from Jesse Gamble, Turner Evans, Josh Sanderson, Brodie Merrill and Dan Lintner.

Joel McCready and Rhys Duch had hat tricks for the Stealth (3-10). Thomas Hoggarth scored twice with Justin Salt, Corey Small and Cliff Smith adding the others.

Nick Rose turned away 32-of-43 shots for the win in net as Tyler Richards stopped 40 shots in defeat.

The Rock were 5 for 7 on the power play with Vancouver converting on all three of its chances with the man advantage.
