LONDON – Prince Harry will visit Toronto on May 2 to launch the countdown for the third edition of the Invictus Games to be held in the city in September 2017.
The date was announced by Kensington Palace via Twitter on Wednesday as Harry unveiled Britain’s team of Invictus Games athletes ahead of the 2016 Paralympics-style event to be held next month in Florida.
Harry, who posed with most of the 110 athletes Wednesday at Buckingham Palace, will visit Toronto on his way to Florida.
Harry has been a driving force behind the competition for wounded, sick or injured service personnel and veterans.
The first games were held two years ago.
Harry, 31, is a military veteran who served in Afghanistan. He is fifth in line to British throne.
