MADRID – Pedro Almodovar’s production company says the Spanish move director has cancelled publicity events for his new movie “Julieta” following intense interest in the offshore company he owned with his brother years ago.
His El Deseo company says the director nixed planned interviews and a photo shoot ahead of the debut of “Julieta” in theatres across Spain Friday.
“Julieta” is Almovodar’s 20th movie. The actors in the movie did do their interviews.
Almodovar’s brother Agustin on Monday blamed his lack of experience for a decision to set up a British Virgin Islands company. That news became public via leaked documents from a Panamanian law firm.
