WESTBANK – Westbank First Nation residents are being told to conserve water today and tomorrow.
The emergency conservation is related to repairs being done at the IR #9 pump house, the band said in a media release.
“All residents are asked to conserve water by limiting household usage for tonight and tomorrow morning. Westbank First Nation apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause,” states the release.
Residents are asked to conserve water from 4 p.m. today, March 15 until 7 a.m. tomorrow, March 16.
“The Westbank First Nation Utilities staff will make every effort to perform the repairs to ensure the water levels resume to normal as soon as possible,” the band says.
The release does not state what went wrong at the pump house, or what repairs are required.
