TORONTO – Two Canadian residents have been charged in an alleged terror plot to attack a Via Rail passenger train. Raed Jaser, 35, from Toronto and Chiheb Esseghaier, 30, from Montreal face these terrorism-related charges:

— Conspire to interfere with transportation facilities for the benefit of a terrorist group (April 1 – Sept. 25, 2012)
— Conspiracy to murder for the benefit of a terrorist group (April 1-Sept. 25, 2012)
— Participate in a terrorist group (April 1 – Sept. 25, 2012)
— Participate in a terrorist group (Sept. 25, 2012 – Feb. 14, 2013)
— Instruct someone to carry out an activity for the benefit of a terrorist group (Sept. 7- Dec. 20, 2012)
Raed Jaser:
