U.S. fish boat collided with docked Canadian navy six; 6 suffer minor injuries

VICTORIA – A U.S. fishing boat has collided with a Canadian navy ship docked at Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, near Victoria.

The BC Ambulance Service says six people were taken to Victoria General Hospital with minor injuries.

The collision involved the Seattle-based fishing trawler American Dynasty and the HMCS Winnipeg.

The accident appeared to leave the bow of the fishing boat embedded in the forward side of the Canadian frigate.

It’s not immediately know what led to the collision. (CFAX)
