VIDEO: Injured eagle at BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops released back into wild

KAMLOOPS – After spending nearly two months recovering at the B.C. Wildlife Park in Kamloops, a bald eagle has been released back into nature.

Wildlife photographer Tasha Hall found the injured eagle trapped in a snare while sledding in the Kootenays near the end of January. Hall ended up putting the eagle in a dog crate and driving it to the BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops.

The eagle had an injured wing and spent nearly two months recovering at the wildlife park.

The park's care coordinator told iNFOnews.ca in February that Hall and her companion did everything right when they transported the eagle.

Hall said in a Facebook post that she was grateful for the treatment the eagle received at BC Wildlife Park up until its March 21 release.

You can watch the bird's full journey from rescue to release in the video.
