VERNON – RCMP are investigating a suspicious death in the 2900 block of 41 Avenue.
Police were informed by neighbours the person living in the apartment unit hadn't been seen for days. When Mounties and members of the Vernon Fire Department and B.C. Ambulance arrived at about 8 a.m. Aug. 25, they forced the locked door of the apartment open. They found the deceased alone inside.
"An examination of the scene indicates the man and been deceased for an indeterminable period of time prior to being discovered," RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk stated in a press release.
The Serious Crimes Unit has taken over this investigation. No further information is available at this time.
