105 new homes could be coming to Glenmore

KELOWNA – Around 105 new homes could be added to the Glenmore area.

The property, located at 185 Clifton Rd. N will be coming before council for a zoning change next week for the proposed development.

A rezoning application has been submitted to council to change the current property zoning of RU1H – large lot housing to RU2H – medium lot housing.

"The property is already zoned for the most part, however since the inital zoning was done quite some time ago, some of the current zoning lines don't line up," Ryan Smith, the City of Kelowna department of planning manager said. "It's more about tweaking boundaries."

According to Smith, the development is part of Wilden Real Estate in Kelowna.

An application for the proposed development was accepted March 17, of this year. According to Smith, it should take about three to four months before the development comes before council.
