Delcliffe Road lake access work moves forward

The City of Vernon is moving forward with improvements to lake access, which will include new parking stalls, a turnaround area, new fencing and signage.

The improvements are expected to be completed in May of this year.

The project currently has an $83,000 budget with another $35,000 approved to accommodate additional parking, rockwork and archaeological work on the site.

The Delcliffe Road Lake Access project is the first of ten lake access improvements expected by the end of 2018 and was identified as a high priority in the draft Lake Access Plan.

Council supported the transfer of additional funding from reserves to initiate construction of improvements to the lake access on Delcliffe Road.
