OTTAWA – A by-the-numbers look at how much money all registered parties put into local campaigns in the last election, based on returns filed with Elections Canada by the end of March.

$9.6 million: Total transfers by all parties to local candidates.

$1.55 million: Value of transfers by the Liberals, Conservatives and NDP in the first half of the 2015 election.

$1.13 million: Value of transfers by the Liberals, Conservatives and NDP in the last two weeks of the campaign.

$4.48 million: Value of transfers by the Liberals to their candidates.

$3.14 million: Combined value of transfers by the Conservatives and NDP to their candidates.

14: Ridings that received Conservative party funds where the Tories won,

53: Ridings the Conservatives targeted with funding.

44: Candidates who received transfers from Jason Kenney’s riding association of Calgary Midnapore during the election.

$183,000: Value of transfers Kenney sent to other candidates around the country.

$106,497: Value of NDP transfers to the riding of Kenora where star candidate Howard Hampton ran against Conservative incumbent Greg Rickford and Liberal Bob Nault.

519: Votes Hampton lost by to Nault.
