Police seize heroin, cash in Kamloops raid

KAMLOOPS – A man is behind bars after a raid on a North Shore house netted heroin, cell phones, cash and drug packaging materials.

Police say Michael Lees, 42, is from Kamloops and was previously known to them. Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a media release that another arrest is expected in the coming weeks.

According to the release, police seized trafficking amounts of heroin, more than $1,000, drug packaging materials and cell phones.

Lees is charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for purpose of trafficking.

The RCMP's Street Level Drug Unit conducted the raid on March 28 with a search warrant.
