Thieves ransack Kelowna army surplus store

KELOWNA – Police are looking for more information and the two suspects responsible for a smash and grab more than a week ago at a Kelowna army surplus store.

When police arrived to the store, located in the 1100 block of Sutherland Avenue, on March 30 to find broken glass and clothing scattered on the sidewalk, according to a release issued by Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers.

The suspects used a bat to smash the store's front door. The suspects also smashed display cases and made off with a large amount of inventory.

A German Flectar camouflage backpack, a British Bergen camouflage backpack, Tru-Spec black tactical pants, bayonets, knives and mountaineering goggles were reported missing from the store.

Crime Stoppers says the suspects were wearing backpacks, black pants and white/grey coloured hoodies. One was wearing a baseball cap with a sticker on the brim and a black jacket.
