MERRITT – Kamloops and District Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help in locating tanks used for welding which may have been stolen from a Merritt store.
Crime Stoppers says on its Facebook page that sometime between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. March 29, oxygen and acetylene tanks were stolen from the gas cage behind the Napa Auto Parts store in Merritt.
The oxygen tanks are green and the acetylene tanks are black. They belong to Praxair and have the company's markings on them.
Crime Stoppers says this is a great financial loss to the owner. If you know anything about this crime, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 800-222-8477.
