Chemical imbalance forces closure of Vernon pool

VERNON – The Vernon pool is shut down today due for public safety reasons.

The City of Vernon says in a release the combined chlorine levels at the Aquatic Centre are not suitable for public use.

Staff are working to bring the system back to balance.

“The pool could potentially be closed for the remainder of the day, and staff hope to reopen to the public tomorrow,” the city says.
