Police believe remains found behind butcher shop are part of human torso

TORONTO – Police say they have found what appears to be part of a human torso behind a butcher shop in Toronto.

They say they are waiting for confirmation from the coroner that the remains are human.

Det. Sgt. Terry Browne says a shop employee found the remains behind the store Tuesday morning, but wouldn’t get into specifics.

He says in the meantime police are looking into cases of missing persons in the area.
