Dustin Wolf made 36 saves, and the Stockton Heat beat the Toronto Marlies 4-2 on Wednesday for their first win of the American Hockey League season.
Adam Ruzicka had two goals and an assist to lead the Stockton offence.
Zach Leslie and Alex Petrovic also found the back of the net for the Heat (1-2-0), AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
Joseph Duszak and Teemu Kivihalme scored for the Marlies (4-3-0), with Nick Robertson picking up two assists.
Andrew D’Agostini made 24 saves for the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
