Body found in wreckage of Kelowna house fire
KELOWNA – Police are investigating a suspicious fire and death after a body was discovered in a Kelowna home yesterday morning.
RCMP aren't saying much and are not releasing the person's name but will say the death is considered suspicious, Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a release.
Fire ripped through the house early on Saturday, April 1.
O’Donaghey says RCMP are continuing to secure the scene at the Stockwell Avenue home as crime scene investigators work with the Kelowna Fire Department and the BC Coroners Service.
No details about the person will be released until next of kin is notified.
