1 p.m.

A woman jailed in connection with the death of a 1-year-old girl on a Montana Indian reservation is scheduled to appear in tribal court on Friday.

Court officials said the 42-year-old woman will appear for a probable cause hearing on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. Authorities originally said she’d be in court Thursday.

FBI spokeswoman Sandra Yi Barker wouldn’t release the woman’s name, citing an ongoing investigation into the death of Kenzley Olson.

Authorities initially said Kenzley was abducted from her house Tuesday, but Barker couldn’t confirm if that was still believed to be the case.

Her body was discovered Wednesday. The cause of death and other details haven’t been released.

Barker says federal charges also are anticipated.
