Two hospitalized after two motorcycles collide in Summerland

SUMMERLAND – A strange collision in Summerland resulted in two adults being sent to hospital.

RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says two people riding dirt bikes near Trappers Field in Summerland collided with each other on April 1.

Both suffered injuries as a result of the collision.

A nearby school field was set up for use as a landing zone for an air ambulance. One victim, a 38-year-old woman, was airlifted to Kelowna while the other, a 48-year-old man was taken to Penticton Regional Hospital, examined and later released with what appears to be minor injuries.

The woman is reported to be in stable condition.

Summerland RCMP continue to investigate the matter and are looking for the public’s help. Anyone who has any information regarding the incident are asked to contact Summerland RCMP at 250-494-7416.
