RCMP looking for witnesses to crash that closed Highway 97 through Osoyoos

OSOYOOS – Police are looking for witnesses to three-vehicle collision yesterday afternoon that closed Highway 97 in Osoyoos.

RCMP say at around 4:40 p.m., yesterday, April 4, they responded to a head-on crash between a gold Pontiac Grandam and a black Chevrolet pickup truck on Highway 97 near 91 Street in Osoyoos. A Smart Car was involved in the crash as well.

Three people were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The highway was detoured for three hours while police investigated the scene.

Investigators are looking for witnesses. If you saw the crash, contact South Okanagan Traffic Services at 250-499-2250.
