TORONTO – Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and catcher Russell Martin returned to the Blue Jays lineup Saturday but outfielder Michael Saunders got another day off to rest a sore hamstring.
Tulowitzki was back in action after sitting out Friday night’s 8-5 loss to Oakland after jarring his hip diving for a ball in Baltimore. Martin left Friday’s game early with a sore neck.
“He feels good enough to play,” said manager John Gibbons. “He didn’t want to come out (Friday) night but if you watched him, he couldn’t move his neck.”
Ezequiel Carrera continued in left field in Saunders’ place.
