OTTAWA – Former CBC host Evan Solomon has a new gig at 580 CFRA News Talk Radio in Ottawa.
Bell Media Radio says Solomon is taking on the newly created role of national affairs specialist at the station, where he is already host and executive producer of “Ottawa Now.”
He’ll also host the new syndicated weekend program “Real Talk.”
The 48-year-old anchored CBC News Network’s series “Power & Politics” and CBC Radio’s “The House” until the public broadcaster cut ties with him last summer.
His dismissal came after the Toronto Star alleged he took advantage of his position to broker lucrative art deals between a friend and wealthy interview subjects. Solomon denied any wrongdoing.
Last August, Solomon started hosting a one-hour political talk show on SiriusXM Canada, a gig that is now done.
