Clarification: Immigration Enforcement-Catholic Schools

CHICAGO – In a story Feb. 28 about the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago, The Associated Press reported that Cardinal Blase Cupich, the leader of the archdiocese, sent a letter Monday to school principals telling them not to allow federal immigration agents onto church property without a warrant. Cupich’s letter was sent to the priests of the archdiocese, some of whom oversee schools. The superintendent of archdiocese schools sent a letter to principals last week with the same instructions.
