The Hill Climb, a snowmobile and snow mx event, returns to Silver Star Mountain Resort this weekend for its third year.
The race filled weekend, co-hosted with the Vernon Snowmobile Association, starts on Friday, April 14, with a head to head style race event. Saturday and Sunday will bring the qualifiers and final for the climb itself.
Riders will be racing up the mountain face under the Summit Chair, flying over bumps and jumps as they make their way up the steep slope.
"With the huge snow base we have this year we will be adding additional technical features in the lower portion of the track," said Brad Baker, director of operations, "it will be a real crowd pleaser."
New for this year Silver Star will be operating two “tracks” at once, doubling the excitement level and moving the races along faster.
The spectator friendly event will allow for viewing at the start of the track and lift rides to the Summit will allow for an excellent view of the entire course. Beverage gardens and bbq's will be present throughout the day with live music to cap off the night.
