BOSTON – Tourists on a sightseeing boat in Boston have seen a body floating by them in the river they were riding on.
The U.S. Coast Guard says the people spotted the body on Monday at about 10:50 a.m. while riding on a Boston Duck Tour amphibious vehicle that travels on water as well as roadways.
State police have identified the body as a 59-year-old Boston man who had been reported missing. He has been removed from the Charles River beneath the Longfellow Bridge.
State police are investigating. The medical examiner’s office will determine the cause and manner of his death.
