Man, 44, found murdered in Metro Vancouver described as transient

COQUITLAM, B.C. – A 44-year-old man has been identified as the person found murdered in Coquitlam, B.C., Monday.

Police describe Clifford Arthur Devitt of Maple Ridge as a transient who frequented the Maple Ridge, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam areas east of Vancouver.

His body was found near a trail in the Colony Farm area of Coquitlam.

Police have not said how he died.

A bicycle believed to have been owned by Devitt was found near his body.

Police have released pictures of Devitt and the bike in hopes of generating tips from anyone who may have seen him before his body was found.
