
Sleepy motorist slams into lamp post in Penticton
PENTICTON – A Penticton motorist ran into trouble when he failed to stay awake at the wheel yesterday morning.
RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision at Warren Avenue and the Channel Parkway on yesterday, April 24.
Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says a 32-year-old man driving northbound in a 1992 Pontiac Sun Runner fell asleep around 5 a.m. striking and knocking down a lamp standard.
Police observed no signs of impairment and no injuries were reported.
Wrigglesworth says no charges were laid in the incident.
