Christy Clark still hasn’t bought a home in West Kelowna where she seeks re-election

WEST KELOWNA – Four years after losing her own Vancouver riding and then bumping Ben Stewart in West Kelowna so she could remain premier, Christy Clark still has not bought a home in the riding she represents as MLA.

Ben Stewart was re-elected in Westside-Kelowna in May, 2013 but gave up his seat after Clark was defeated in her Vancouver-Point Grey riding.

Clark announced shortly after winning the by-election that year that she was looking for a home in her riding but according to disclosure forms filed recently with Elections B.C., neither of the two properties she owns are in the Okanagan.

One of her properties is on 16 Ave. West in Vancouver and the other is on Galiano Island.

Clark hasn't answered our questions directly, but a campaign spokesperson said: "She has said that she rents."

There's no indication of where or how much she pays for rent or what she rents. She also hasn't attended any local candidates forums nor has she confirmed her attendance for any future candidate events.
