BREAKING: Crash sends car into Papa John’s Pizza in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA – A car has smashed into Papa John's Pizza in West Kelowna this afternoon and emergency crews are working to get the driver out of the wreckage.

A two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 in West Kelowna at about noon, April 28, sent one of the vehicles into the Papa Johns restaurant, according to reports.

West Kelowna firefighters have cut the roof off the Chevy Cavalier to get a person out of the vehicle. No word on how badly they are hurt or if anyone else was injured.

Traffic westbound on Highway 97 is impacted by the crash.

B.C. Ambulance paramedics and RCMP are on the scene along with West Kelowna Fire Rescue.
