Blue Jays-Yankees series finale washed out by rain on Sunday

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Sunday’s game between the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees has been postponed due to rain.

No makeup date was set for the AL East rivals, who are not scheduled to meet again in the Bronx until August.

Toronto manager John Gibbons said before the game that right-hander R.A. Dickey would pitch Monday at home against Tampa Bay if the game were rained out. Yankees left-hander C.C. Sabathia is likely to pitch on Monday as well. The Yankees had previously said that either Phil Hughes or rookie Vidal Nuno would go against Baltimore on Monday.

New York has won its last nine home games against Toronto, since last season.
