Showers start off the week in the Okanagan

OKANAGAN – Cool days and showers will start off the week in the Okanagan.

Today, May 15, we’ll be getting clouds with a 60 per cent chance of showers, according to Environment Canada, with a daytime high of 16 Celsius and winds up to 30 km/h into the evening. This evening showers will arrive, with 5 mm to 10 mm falling overnight. The night time low will be 7 C.

The showers will stick around for tomorrow, with another 5 mm to 10 mm of rain. It will stay cool as well, with a high of 12 C and wind up to 20 km/h. Things will begin to improve in the evening, with only a 60 per cent chance of showers and low of 7 C.

Wednesday should be brighter, as a mix of sun and cloud is forecast with a high of 16 C. Overnight there will be cloudy periods and a low of 7 C.

Thursday there may be more precipitation with a 40 per cent chance of showers and highs around 18 C during the day. Overnight it should be clear with a low of 7 C.

Friday it’s going to continue to get warmer with a high of 21 C and mix of sun and cloud again. Heading into the weekend that night the low should be around 10 C with cloudy periods.

The weekend is currently forecast to be fairly sunny with highs in the mid-20s.

Things remain on the cool side this year, as normally the Okanagan is experiencing highs around 20 C and lows of 6 C during this time of year.
