Police called when up to 30 parents fight at youth soccer game in Barrie, Ont.

BARRIE, Ont. – Police were called to a youth soccer tournament in Barrie, Ont., after some parents got into a fight.

According to police, an argument broke out Saturday afternoon between parents from a Kitchener team and a Barrie team.

It’s alleged one of the parents uttered racial slurs to another parent, causing the fight to escalate and involve up to 30 parents.

Police say they calmed the situation.

The Barrie Soccer Club will be speaking to some of those involved.
