Toronto Raptors introduce Masai Ujiri as the club’s new general manager
TORONTO – The Toronto Raptors have formally introduced Masai Ujiri as the club’s new general manager.
The 43-year-old met the media at Air Canada Centre today with MLSE CEO Tim Leiweke after being named to the post on Friday.
Ujiri, the NBA executive of the year with the Denver Nuggets, replaces Bryan Colangelo, who remains as team president in a non-basketball roll.
Ujiri was an assistant general manager with the Raptors before leaving for Denver.
He opened his remarks to the media by saying “I’m home.”
The Raptors have missed the playoffs for the last five seasons.
