Bruins not overconfident after shutting down potent Penguins in first 2 games of East finals

BOSTON – The Bruins are back home with a chance to wrap up the Eastern Conference finals in Boston.

The Penguins hope to find the potent attack that was missing when they lost the first two games in Pittsburgh. The Bruins won the opener 3-0 then dominated the Penguins 6-1 in the second game on Monday night.

The Bruins can sweep the best-of-seven series if they win at home on Wednesday and Friday.

Boston coach Claude Julien says his team is taking nothing for granted and knows how strong Pittsburgh’s offence can be. The Penguins led the NHL in goals during the regular season.

But Sidney Crosby and his teammates have been stymied by Boston’s disciplined defence and had trouble with the Bruins organized, aggressive offence.
