VERNON – An evacuation order has been issued for six lots on Okanagan Indian Band land.
Rising water levels on Okanagan Lake have led the band’s emergency operations centre to order the evacuation of residences on lots 1 through to 6 on William Marchand Beach in IR 1 today, May 22, according to a press release.
People evacuated are asked to register at the reception centre at Village Green Hotel at 4801 27 St. in Vernon. RCMPare delivering the evacuation order.
