Blue Jays select high school pitcher Phil Bickford at baseball draft
SECAUCUS, N.J. – The Toronto Blue Jays selected pitcher Phil Bickford with the No. 10 pick in the Major League Baseball draft on Thursday.
The 17-year-old right-hander from Oaks Christian High School in California is six-foot-four, 200 pounds with a 96 m.p.h. fast ball.
Bickford, 17, has a commitment to Cal State Fullerton.
